Minnesota Gophers great and 1980 Team USA "Miracle on Ice" star Steve Christoff spent two and a half promising seasons with his hometown North Stars before getting traded to Calgary (and, quickly after that, to Los Angeles). He is now a pilot for Mesaba Airlines.
