Pete Mackanin's most significant place in Twins history is as the last player to don number 14 before Kent Hrbek. His lengthy coaching career has included stints as an interim manager for both the Pittsburgh Pirates and Cincinnati Reds. He is currently Charlie Manuel's bench coach in Philadelphia.
