Notes:
Through their first decade as an NHL franchise, the Minnesota Wild have rostered a remarkably low number of Minnesota natives.  Darby Hendrickson was the first to be a major contributor.  Beyond that, there were a handful of ex-Gophers stars who played in a smattering of insignificant late-season games (at best).  They did give a big free agent contract to Mark Parrish, who was not a fit for Jacques Lemaire's stifling system and was bought out after two years.  They gave a similar contract to Matt Cullen prior to last season, and that's worked out decently.  This year's local addition was former Apple Valley High School star Mike Lundin.  He had spent the previous four seasons as a puck-moving stay-at-home defenseman for the Tampa Bay Lightning and was signed to bolster a blueline corps that lost Brent Burns and relieved themselves of Cam Barker during the off-season.  Unfortunately back spasms have kept him on injured reserve since training camp.
