After seven years with the Pittsburgh Pirates - some of them pretty good - Bob Kipper signed with the defending World Series champion Minnesota Twins in December 1991. He went 3-3 in 25 games for the Twins and was given his release on July 31, 1992. He never appeared in the big leagues again. Kipper has been a minor league pitching coach for the last ten years and currently fills that role for the Red Sox' AA affiliate Portland Sea Dogs.
