Notes:
Dan Cleary was the Blackhawks' first-round pick in 1997 but after several nondescript seasons for them, the Edmonton Oilers, and the Phoenix Coyotes, his status as a once-promising prospect had long since faded.  He went to camp with the Red Wings on a tryout basis in 2005 and made the team.  Since then, he has improved every season and become one of the most dependable two-way forwards (and one of the most underrated all-around players) in the NHL.  He is not and likely never will be a superstar, but in the tradition of Wings greats like Kirk Maltby and Kris Draper, he has become a hard-working fan favorite in Hockeytown -- an outstanding checker with a knack for finding the back of the net in clutch moments.
