Notes:
Ron Goetz was one of my all-time favorite college players as a hard-hitting linebacker for the Golden Gophers.  He was a classic overachiever who parlayed his decorated college career into a 12th round draft selection for his hometown Minnesota Vikings.  He never did play in the NFL, but spent a couple of seasons in the infant World League of American Football and a few more in the CFL.  He signed two cards in black Sharpie, kept the duplicate 1992 Wild Card that I offered him, and included a great thank you note.
