For my money, the best story in the NHL this season was the Phoenix Coyotes. Mired in bankruptcy and ownership drama, the great Wayne Gretzky resigned as coach, quitting on his team just a few weeks before the season. Enter Dave Tippett. The former Dallas Stars coach's conservative, defensive game is far from the most watchable product in the league, but good lord, it got results!
