Pat Summerall was one of the great voices of my childhood. Some of my earliest football memories were narrated by Summerall and John Madden during NFC match-ups on CBS in the early '80s. Though the duo was paired for over 20 years, and became somewhat obnoxious to me as I entered adulthood (at least Madden did), I can't help but hear Summerall's drawl every time I see pictures or football cards of the Redskins, 49ers, and Cowboys teams circa 1982. He's a legend. Thank you, Mr. Summerall.
