A rough 'n tumble grinder from Elk River, Minnesota, Dan Hinote was a fan favorite on the Avalanche teams of the early 2000s. After playing one final season in Europe last year, he immediately jumped into the NHL coaching ranks as an assistant for the Blue Jackets. Off ice, he is married to Jenny McCarthy's sister. It's weird. Google him and there are pictures of Jim Carrey at his wedding.
